Reel Thing Fishing is pleased to announce the inaugural Reel-It-In Ice Fishing Contest, taking place on the weekend of January 11, 2019. We’ve got $50,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs throughout the weekend. Our members voted and this was the event they wanted to see happen, so we talked about it and here it is. Time for some ice fishing in this freezing weather!
Registration for the event can be done online or by phone starting now, or in person on Friday, January, 11 2019 at 9:00 AM. Tickets are on sale now for $29.99 per person. The tournament officially begins at 9:30 and goes until 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2019. All fish caught during the tournament window should be brought back to the main marina for official weighing and measurements. Anything caught outside of the allotted window will not be counted. We’re keeping it simple this year and skipping category offerings. The contest will pay out cash prizes for the top 3 largest fish by official weigh-in.
Prize Money:
- 1st prize – $15,000
- 2nd prize – $10,000
- 3rd prize – $5,000
Other Prizes:
In addition to $30,000 in cash prizes, our tournament sponsor AZ Car Wraps is offering a fleet-wide commercial vehicle wrap for one lucky business owner, valued at $30,000. The winner will receive premium vehicle advertising wraps featuring their brand name, logo, and other pertinent information for up to 10 company vehicles.
Other Tournament Details:
Tournament runs 1/11/19 @ 9:30 AM – 1/13/19 @ 5:00 PM. Please arrive 30 minutes early on Friday to check-in. Lunch and dinner is provided each day at 12:00 PM and 5:30 PM, respectively. We don’t have hotel accommodations, but there are plenty of locations nearby. Parking will be available in our main lot, and overflow lot for $10 per vehicle.
